Comet visible with naked eye!

it's been a long time coming but we've finally got a bright comet to enjoy!

Comet Neowise is easily visible to the naked eye. A bit before midnight is best. The comet is not very high in the north-western sky so make sure you can see where the Sun had set two hours prior (there will be a bit of twilight left to guide you).

The comet should remain bright for at least another week, and if anything become visible more easily as it moves away from the Sun. So don't worry if it's cloudy tonight, you should have plenty of opportunity to come.

Picture taken last night by us, with a Nikon D7200 and 300mm/f6.3 lens in a 1 second exposure, from our backyard outside of Audlem.

PS: comets are "snowballs", leftovers from when the planets formed 4.5 billion years ago. When they get near the Sun they evaporate and produce the iconic tail.
