Combermere Abbey, the historic 900 year old estate on the Cheshire-Shropshire border, is opening up its gates for charity for a special National Garden Scheme Open Afternoon on Tuesday 25th June.

This is the first time the estate has partnered with the NGS. All proceeds from this Open Afternoon, where guests will enjoy the very finest in summer blooms, will go the health and nursing charities supported by the Scheme.

The event will also provide an opportunity for visitors to enter Combermere's centenary raffle, with prizes such as dinner at Docket 33 and VIP tickets to the International Horse Show up for grabs.

Gates open at 1pm and close at 5pm (with last entries at 4pm); adult tickets cost £5 and children under 16 £2.

In the Walled Gardens the gravelled paths are suitable for wheelchairs and there are disabled facilities in The Glasshouse and Pavilion café. Dogs and picnics are not permitted.

An Abbey tour will be offered at 3pm, tickets are additional price and places must be booked in advance. (limited to 20 persons). Please phone the estate office 01948 662880.
