If you would like your Christmas tree collected and shredded, all you have to do is leave the tree outside your house (at the end of your drive, if you have one) with a cheque for £2.50 or more if you wish made out to the Audlem Scout & Guide Hall. Please place the cheque in a poly bag and tie it to the tree.

Collections will be made today, Saturday 6th January and tomorrow, Sunday between 10.00am and 1.00pm. In the unlikely event that you are missed, call 07966 504099.

There is also a free Christmas tree shredding service today from 9.00am until 1.00pm provided by Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council on the car park off Cheshire Street. However, once your tree has shed millions of needles all over your car, it may be better to use the Scout & Guide Hall's service and know you've helped a good local cause – and you won't be finding pine needles in your car for the rest of the year!

As an added incentive to use the Scout & Guide Hall's service, include your name and contact phone number in the bag with the cheque and you will be entered in the draw to win a bottle of champagne.
