A charity curry evening at Hankelow Cottage last week raised £760 to help sufferers from Motor Neurone Disease.

Quizmaster Ian Jones said: 'A very good time was had by all. A delicious three-course meal was served and a four-round quiz took place which was enjoyed by over 100 people.'

The quiz and raffle raised £380 and restaurant owner, Mr Azmol Hussain matched it to take the total donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association (Cheshire Branch) to £760.

At the end of the evening a cheque was presented by Mr. Hussain to Mrs Joan Park (representing M.N.D.A. Cheshire Branch). Mrs Park thanked everyone for their wonderful support and explained that funds raised by the charity would help people with Motor Neurone Disease. cope in their own homes.

The organisers of this event would like to thank everyone for their participation and generosity.
