Cheshire East Council has identified 18 air quality management areas where pollution levels exceed UK limits.
The affected areas include locations in Nantwich and Crewe.
The council has an action plan, which has been in place since 2011, to deal with air pollution problems. However, with the increased number of air quality management areas in Cheshire East, the council has realised there is a need to review the current air quality action plan.
The plan is a statutory document, which contains measures which seek to improve air quality across the borough.
According to the council, "The council strongly believes that residents will have a valuable input in contributing to the revised action plan. Cheshire East is planning to hold a number of early-evening action-planning workshops during April and May.
"We welcome anyone with an interest regarding air quality in the areas listed above to register to attend. These ideas will be considered and where possible, included in the review of the action plan."
You can register your interest by email to airquality@cheshireeast.gov.uk or call 0300 123 5015 before Sunday 15th April, with your name, address and the area you are interested in from those mentioned above.
