CCA Awards Triumph for Audlem and Hankelow

At the Cheshire Community Action awards ceremony yesterday at Ellesmere Port, Audlem received major accolades for it's Community Spirit, Pride in its Environment, and with a first class Community Website.

The awards recognise how different groups contribute so much to Audlem.

Heather Jones, Chairman of the Audlem Parish Council said:

A resounding "Well Done" to everyone who has contributed their time and effort to the many activities that make Audlem such a special place to live.

Audlem Awards were :

• Winner of Best Community Website Award
• Winner of Best Community Spirit Award
• Winner of Best Community Pride Award for Best Kept Village of populations of 1001 – 2500
• Overall Championship winner of Community Pride Best Kept Village Award
• Little Gem Award for the Millstone outside St. James Church

Our companion village, Hankelow, also received awards:

• Winner of the Best Community Pride Award for Best Kept Village for a population of under 400.
• Little Gem Award for floral grove near Hankelow Hall.
