It's the ever-popular singing of Carols around the Christmas tree in the Square this coming Wednesday 22nd December at 7.30pm.

This is one of Audlem's magical seasonal events, and this year it's even bigger with the last of the late night opening of Audlem's shops, a chance to catch up with all those last-minute presents particularly if your normal Christmas shopping has been hit by the weather.

Christmas in Audlem this year started with the first-ever Big Switch On which attracted unexpectedly large crowds as the Big Tree was illuminated and Santa led the children of St James' school to the Square.

Santa will be in Audlem again on Wednesday evening for the ADAS organised Carols in the Square with 30 minutes of community carols to the music of the United 2000 Coop Brass Band. Hot soup will be given out free by Jo and Allan of the Lord Combermere and there's free mulled wine and mince pies afterwards at the Bridge Inn.

This will be Santa's final appearance in Audlem this year before flying off to the North Pole to prepare for his big night on Christmas Eve.
