Carnival Queen and Princesses chosen

Each year the Carnival committee looks to appoint the Carnival Queen and her attendants, chosen from Year 6 of our primary school, St James.

This year , with only four girls in that year, all of them were entered and the pupils voted to draw the name from a hat. The result is that we have the pleasure of Amelia Steele as this year's Queen, with Beth Linder Arrowsmith, Mollie Goodwin and Lucy Titley as the Princesses.

A photo shoot of the girls in their long dresses will be held as usual , with the portrait photographs being presented to each of them as a record of their happy Carnival day.

Then , on May 27th , the retiring Queen will crown Amelia. Then follows a short parade through the village .
