Carnival collection pulls its weight in coins

Ralph Warburton writes to say: "As the treasurer of the Carnival Committee, I have finished counting and banking some 70lbs weight of coin from our collections, raffle and tombola. Natwest were thrilled of course! A huge thank you to all who supported the Carnival by giving their donation in this way. And an especial thank you to the world traveller(s) amongst us who so kindly gave us an Ironbridge half penny; an I.O.M penny; an Irish 5 cent piece, 50 cents from Holland, a cent from Spain and a quarter and a cent from the USA. We hope to make use of them when we tour with next year's carnival!!!"
