Care home gets award for scheme

Audlem care home Corbrook Court has won a national award for its 24-bed extension.

The nursing home, which is owned by Morris Care, was awarded first prize in the Pinders Design Awards at a ceremony attended by more than 500 care industry professionals. Corbrook Court was shortlisted from 80 entries in the Best Extension or Restoration category.

Margaret Maudsley, chief executive of Morris Care, said: "We were absolutely delighted when our name was called out and to have achieved national recognition for our nursing home."

The nursing home was awarded £2000 which will be presented to St Luke's Hospice in Winsford.
