Care Assistant required

Care assistant required for days & over-night support – Mon-Sun, shift work

Opportunity for care worker to provide companionship and assistance to warm hearted, house bound elderly lady.
The responsibilities of this role are:

Day and night shifts required staying at patient's home to provide outstanding care and support.

• Provide companionship and personal care
• Basic help in the home, shopping and meal preparation support
• Deliver specialist care based on training received i.e. medication administration

Rewarding role with regular daily contact with and support from, close family network who live nearby and share care duties. Full training provided with assistance and handovers from other carers.

Requirements:

• Experience preferable but not mandatory
• Warm, patient and compassionate with a clear desire to support others
• Enthusiastic and positive 'can do' attitude
• Have the use of your own transport
• Willing and able to provide personal and medical care including lifting
• Animal and child friendly
• Cooking skills – basic
• Able to stay over-night on premises to provide care through the evening
• Committed to long term service and reliable
• Trustworthy and honest
