Candle sales receive another boost

It was off to bed by candlelight for many in Audlem last night as repair work at the top of Stafford Street resulted in an electricity blackout in parts of the village at around 10.45pm. Fortunately, there was no repeat of last year's problem when some properties were without power for over 24 hours. The lights were back on within an hour.
