Canal tree update

An update on the tree that has been hanging over the canal near Lock 8.

I have been out on duty lock keeping this morning and am able to update you that the tree has disappeared with thanks to Canal & River Trust and their contractors 'Fountains'

Sadly I have to report that I missed the main event of the tree being removed, but do have photographs of the Fountains Tree Surgeons in action plus a photograph of their extremely professional looking lorry.
