Find out why people play in the pouring rain with balls which can't roll straight on a lawn with a hump in the middle.
Audlem Bowling Club's annual Charity Plate day is this Sunday, 23rd June; on the green at the bottom of Heathfield Road.
It starts at 11:00 am, but please try to get there for 10:45 to help with the draw for pairs. It's a doubles competition (so I'm expecting help from my partner!) with a trophy for the winners and the best losers in the first round. You will have at least two games.
All club members, and everyone who wonders why we do it, is welcome to join in. It is a fun day out with good company and good food. (Please bring some for yourself and some for me!) Many prize competitions as well as the usual raffle and tombola.
All planned to raise as much as possible for ADCA and a Parkinsons charity.
Do come along – we all know it won't rain on Sunday!!
