The 10th Audlem Festival gets into the full swing today with an evening of entertainment ranging from the local school's band – sure to be a big hit in St James' Church – to a range of musical genres in all three pubs.

It's then really busy tomorrow with exhibitions as well as a fabulous range of musical entertainment throughout the village. Check all the details on the Audlem Festival website – click on the link below the photos – or pick up a brochure.

Friday, 28th May7:00pm – Audlem Saint James School Band Audlem St James Church Audlem Saint James School Band will be showing their talents at the Church led by Karen Vaughan.

8:00pm – Megan Lee
The Bridge Inn

Beautiful young singer, with a maturity of voice far greater than her years. Singing blues, the shows and the hits, accompanied on acoustic guitar by Lee Bowen.

9:00pm – Dave Nettleton
Lord Combermere

Versatile musician, singer songwriter, at the cutting edge of nu-folk, following in the footsteps of Mumford and sons, Noah and the whale, and Johnny Flynn.

9:30pm – Whiskeyhead
Shroppie Fly

Whiskeyhead are a Stoke-on-Trent based blues band with a passion for blues from the 1950's, 60's and 70's distilled and performed in their own way. www.whiskeyhead.com

9:30pm – Roydan Styles & Jason Johnston
The Bridge Inn

Solo sets from Mancunian electro acoustic popsters Roydan Styles and Jason Johnston, both teaming up at the end for a touch of madness. Roydan has been compared to the likes of Roy Harper with a touch of Zappa madness, while Jason is an accomplished singer/songwriter in the vein of Damien Rice.
