Bringing Law to life with Laughter

After our last speaker's presentation, "The Science of Chocolate: Food of the Gods", by Dr Diana Leitch, Audlem Probus Club moves well away from sweet and soft-centred issues this Thursday (Nov 28).

Instead, the Club's retired professional and business people will grapple with contentious legal issues . . . but all in good humour (it's hoped)!

Who would have thought any legal issue could be a laughing matter? This week's guest speaker, that's who.

Sue Holden, a retired lawyer of some 36 years experience, will regale us with stories of why certain laws exist, how they originated, and how they've developed.

As she says: "The law touches and confounds us all from time to time. As a past lawyer, present entertainer and story-teller, seek to inform with humour."

Sue promises to " . . . take us on a journey of those legal moments important in our lives, punctuated with humour."

But will she tell us the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
