Bowls Club Charity Plate Competition

Last Sunday the club held it's Charity Plate Competition where apart from enjoying a fine days bowling we took the opportunity to raise some funds for a local charity.

This year the Audlem First Responders will benefit to the tune of about £600 following various activities which took place, not least was the raffle where we were provided with gifts and donations from no less than twenty of our local shops and businesses for which we owe a debt of thanks.

The competition finished late in the evening with thrilling final which saw the doubles partnership of Betty Clayton and Tom Firth narrowly beating Alan Davenport and Barry Parker by 21-19.
