Borough's voters say No to an elected mayor

The referendum yesterday resulted in the proposal for an elected mayor for Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council being rejected by voters. 18,768 or 60.8% said No to the idea while 11,808 (38.2%) voted Yes. There was a 35.3% turnout.
