Secondhand books

As you all know (hopefully), we sell second hand books, mainly novels but some non-fiction, from a gazebo outside Audlem Mill. Every penny from these sales is given, on a monthly basis, to Audlem Charity Shop. We have been doing this for over 13 years, and each year we, or rather you, our customers, raise up to £1000 a year. Fantastic!

This year we did of course have three months when we had to be closed, making this annual target rather unlikely. But thanks to Boris, we opened our shop in mid-June, and the two weeks in June resulted in a spectacular donation of £94. Thank you. The whole of July resulted in a donation of £165. We are so proud. Again, thank you!

Secondhand books (Canal and Railway)

We sell these inside the Mill from five bookcases. The price varies depending on condition and rarity. We have sold these books for about seven years, and now have well over 2200 titles -- and nearly 2500 books.

New Books

Also remember that we have a huge range of new canal books -- in fact, by far the widest range in Great Britain. We cover all areas of the 2500 mile system of canals -- guide books, maps, history, structures, boating, canal fiction etc.

Audlem Mill is also the home of our book publishing activities; books are published under the CanalBookShop imprint. Peter has now published nearly 30 books, mainly relating to Canals, but including some local books.
