Live music is a big feature of Audlem's Funky weekend coming up on the 22nd and 23rd July. There's a Live Music Night on Saturday 22nd in the Public Hall with the doors opening at 7.30pm. Do not miss this incredible evening of young local musical talent!

There are 5 different and varied acts with one thing in common. They are all young and they all perform their own material. The line up is 'Si Mellor' from Nantwich who will be laying down some uplifting funky electro/house beats on the vinyl decks and the 'The Strangers', Audlem and Funky's youngest band with an average age of 10, will be playing some self penned Indie songs.

'Fallen from Orbit' from the Sandbach & Middlewich area are next with their own unique modern rock sound. They have played the Manchester Academy but this is their first time at the heart of the North West's music scene. 'The Dead Moon Society' from over the border in Market Drayton have also played the Manchester Academy and say they are an indefinable rock quartet. And half of them are girls!

'The Defense' are now almost veterans on the Audlem music scene but still in their teens. They have 2 albums of their own songs and bring even more new material to funky music night. Old and new style punk with a dash of ska and even influences from the likes of Bob Dylan.

Tickets are a snip at £3 for over 18, £2 under 18 and £8 family (2 over 18 and 2 under 18. Everyone is welcome to this fabulous night. The funky team are anxious to show the even older generations of Audlem music lovers what the next generation are capable of in a positive way. You won't be disappointed, so have a night off from the blues and get along and support our young people and live music!

Oh and there is a bar for the over 18s and even some real ale!

Tickets can be reserved from Pete on 811330 or Ian 812068 or info@funkyaudlem.co.uk">info@funkyaudlem.co.uk or soon from the Priest house coffee shop
