Blues musician feeling blue

One local musician says he'd "never felt more like singing the blues" after his gig in Blues Alley yesterday kicked off with a £30 fine as he parked nearby on the Square to unload the instruments and heavy equipment.

It didn't hold back his performance, or another in the evening, but maybe in future the hat should be passed around to cover such unexpected expenses, particularly as the Festival musicians provide their services for little financial reward.
