Blooming Gold for Audlem

I drove up to Southport yesterday – a round trip of 140 miles of the awful M6 – in order to attend the Annual Awards Ceremony of Britain in Bloom.

Over 500 folks were there in the Southport Conference centre.  I am pleased to report that we were awarded for the  second year running a medal. Last year we received a Silver Medal. This year we gained a Gold Award for the Best Small Village category.

All this in spite of the drastic cut in funding for us by Cheshire East Council. 

The award is recognition for the whole of all that is Audlem. All the  wonderful aspects of Community life that we enjoy here.
