She is a 2003 American Theatre Hall of Fame Inductee and received the 2010 BAFTA Fellowship.

Born on 30th January 1937 in Greenwich she is now aged 79 years.

The society Shakespeare knew was heading for tremendous change, and he seems to have recognised that and written about it in a coded way. I understand those codes, I think.
