There was a large turnout from Audlem and district for the Annual Parish Meeting held last night in the Public Hall.

A wide range of village organisations had displays explaining their work ranging from sports clubs, through the 5As – with many in costumes from recent productions – to the village traders, ADCA, ASET and ADAS and many more. A full list was published on AudlemOnline yesterday.

The Audlem St James' Bellringers last night even had a large model on show and seemed to be attracting interest from would-be ringers.

The Audlem Traders stand featured a superb new drawing showing Audlem's shops, seen here to the right held by Judy Evans.

The Audlem Public Hall Annexe team (APHAx) had both static and electronic displays – see photo with chairman of the group, Roland Hall – showing how the building might look and encouraging more residents to complete the questionnaire that will play such an important part in attracting funding from organisations like The Big Lottery.

Sessions like this, allowing the team to demonstrate various methods of public consultation over the scheme also play their part in gaining funds for the annexe which would be built on land behind the existing hall.

So please complete and return the APHAx questionnaire (with copies if necessary for opinions from other family members) or do it online by clicking here.

Extra copies of the questionnaire are available at Williams' newsagents and Audlem post office. It is not limited to one response per household – individuals can send in their own responses.

All the stands seemed to attracted much interest and the event, organised by Audlem Parish Council, was a ideal show-case for Audlem's many organisations.
