A big disappointment

Well, the weeks of nail biting, sleepless nights and clicking on the Wallace and Gromit web site every ten minutes to see who won the Wallace and Gromit World of Inventions Competition, are over.

Yes, the results are in and the winner has been announced! (Drum roll please....or a sausage roll, whatever you've got handy)

The winner, and assured recipient of international world wide, global recognition and intergalactic stardom is.......wait for it........wait.........NOT ME!!! Oh well, some you win...some you lose. (Delete the word "win" in this case)

To be honest, the winner came up with a worthy invention and a well deserved first prize. A clever contraption and one I think we'll be seeing in a future production of Wallace and Gromit.

The runners up were good too as were the inventions that made the short list. Here's a thing that I can't quite understand – I didn't even make the short list. Can't understand that. I'm 5ft 6 – you don't get much shorter than that!
