Colin Cliffe reports from Houston via Ralph Warburton: "I am very pleased to report much better news today.
"Berni woke up today feeling great no pain (first time in 6 weeks), no sickness and loads of energy. We took her out for lunch and tonight she went to the first floor on her own to get some chips from Macdonalds.
"We are hoping to be out on Monday which now seems realistic. We will stay a week or two just to be on the safe side but all being well will be home around about the 23rd September.
"We will miss the climate but that's about all, we all just want to come home now. Cath is flying home tomorrow and the girls may fly home next week. Berni and I will follow (maybe with the tramp we seem to have adopted!).
AudlemOnline adds: Many thanks to Colin for sending us the photo which, as Ralph has commented to us, is worth a thousand words. We wish Berni well and home safely as we are sure all reading this will too.
