Audlem Probus members and visitors are in for a high-octane treat tomorrow (Thurs Oct 23)
as they try to keep pace with insights into the high-speed life of "The Bentley Boys", a
group of playboy racers who dominated the 1920's era of car racing, especially Le Mans, in
their Bentley models.
David Skillen, a self-confessed "consumer of history", has put together an illustrated
presentation describing how their "devil may care attitude of the Roaring Twenties" took
them to success after success, following on from the first motor car built by Walter Owen
Bentley in 1916. Not to be outdone, "The Bentley Girls" followed with their own successes,
as we'll hear from David.
(Audlem & District Probus Club meets at 10:30am tomorrow 23rd Oct in the Public Hall)
