The Bells!

On Saturday March 17th the South Branch of the Chester Diocesan Guild of Bellringers is holding a Striking Competition in Audlem Tower. It is due to start about 2.15 pm and the format will be:-

A draw will take place to decide the ringing order.

Each visiting team of ringers will ring a short practice and then the Treble bell will sound twice to notify the judges that the test piece is about to start. Each team will then ring a short touch of a method of their choice.

The judges will be "hidden" in the village and they will not know which team is ringing but will mark them in number order – 9 teams are expected on Saturday.

There will then be a service for the ringers followed by tea and a Branch meeting in the Scout and Guide Hall – at which the results will be announced.
