Allan, Jo and all the staff at "The Comber" are excited about the forthcoming Beer Festival.

"This is what we are about," says Allan, "quality beers, superb locally sourced foods and great entertainment. Our range of beers and ciders for the Festival include amongst others, offerings from four breweries located within twenty miles of Audlem.

"We are also sourcing a range of 'Festival Food Specials' such as an extensive range of local sausages, local cheeses and artisan breads. There will be something for everyone, plus of course our full menu."

Jo added: "We are also looking forward to some great live entertainment over the two days. Our plans are currently at an early stage, but don't be too surprised to see Royden Styles or Darren Poyzer making a triumphant return to Audlem!"

The Audlem Beer Festival is on Sunday August 29th and Bank Holiday 30th August at the village's three pubs with thirty cask ales as well as a wide range of ciders on offer.

Camping facilities are available for this new event in the Audlem calendar just a short walk away from all three village pubs. Please call to book on 07929 895749 or email davidjoynson@btinternet.com">davidjoynson@btinternet.com

There will be a small charge for camping to cover the cost of providing toilet facilities.

Bombardier
4.3%ABV
A burnished copper colour, it has a rich, tempting aroma of peppery hops and raisins, while the palate is dominated by more dark fruit, juicy malt and tangy hops.

Greene King
IPA
3.6%ABV
A balanced ale and is characterised by the hoppy taste and aroma that comes from the use of Challenger and First Gold hops combined with pale and crystal malts

Peakstone
Oblivion
5.5%ABV t
A golden coloured beer, with plenty of body. A good strong citrus flavour and aroma. Does what it says on the label.

Salopian
Lemon Dream
4.5%ABV
A wheat beer very much in the modern English style – served bright and top fermented. The recipe uses a small amount of fresh lemon to compliment the citrussy flavours produced by the wheat malt. Each of the Hops used, Goldings, Saaz and Cascade add fresh lemony flavours to the brew.

Salopian
Golden Thread
5.0%ABV
Of the Salopian beers, this has the most pronounced bitterness. A triple hopping of English First Gold gives powerful citrussy flavours and vinous aromas, however the malt grist of barley, wheat and lager gives plenty of body and sweetness which balances the assertive bitterness.

Timothy Taylor
Landlord

Refreshingly reliable, nationally renowned, this full drinking Pale Ale with a complex and hoppy aroma has real "Pulling Power" and stands out in any bar.

Weetwood Ales
Old Dog
