The ADAPT Meeting on Wednesday evening at the Baptist Chapel beginning at 7.30pm includes a visual presentation of two eco-projects in different parts of the world, called 'Beanpoles and Palm Trees'.

First we travel in the city of Berlin to see how the redevelopment of the city following reunification of the country has given opportunity for the setting up of 'Community Gardens'. These gardens have important social as well asenvironmental benefits.

Then we travel to the warmer climate of the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico to witness how tourism can play a crucial role in the lives of some of the poorest inhabitants as well as being of environmental and ecological benefit.

Both examples may have some interesting pointers for us in Audlem. All are very welcome to come along.
