To provide information and answer enquiries regarding managed syndicate boats, to be able to process and complete the administration for managed syndicate boats and for boat share sales and take financial payments and maintain accurate information records.
To be the first point of contact dealing politely and efficiently with telephone calls, emails and requests for information. Attend syndicate AGMs, share sale days & exhibitions.

BCBM Boat Share Ltd is situated in Audlem Village centre.

BCBM is the leading operator in boat shared ownership, operating from a number of locations around the country. In addition to this BCBM have a share sales side of the business which the administrator's role is to support. The office operates Monday to Friday but sales days and AGM generally take place at weekends and bank holidays, therefore flexibility and roistered weekend working is a requirement.

Main Accountabilities

The Boat Administrator will be involved in;
1.Direct contact with the public by telephone, email and face-to-face.
2.Dealing with enquiries about both management and sale of shares but may extend to all areas and services.
3.Processing information, requests, reports, contracts and general correspondence.
4.Accurate input and maintenance of computer and manual records is required.
5.General secretarial duties including typing, filing, scanning, writing letters and reports from notes and taking minutes at meetings.
6.Various other duties as directed by line management to maintain the efficient
working of the business

Employment specification

It is essential for applicants to have the following skills and knowledge;
1.A good and confident telephone manner with the ability to deal with customers both on the telephone and face-to-face.
2.Well organised and an excellent administrator able to take, record & file information and records legibly and accurately under minimal supervision.
3.Computer literate with excellent keyboard skills and ability to use both Microsoft Office packages; (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Access) and bespoke systems as day-to-day working tools.
4.The ability to communicate effectively in writing including formulating letters in response to customer requests, comments or enquiries.
5.Must be able to work on own initiative.
6.The ability to work to deadlines and sometimes under pressure.
7.The ability to prioritise work with an efficient pending and follow-up system.
8.Prepared
to work flexibly as part of a small team including weekend working where required.
9.A working knowledge of the canal boat industry and for the canal system would be a distinct added advantage.
