While many are getting used to TV cameras and radio microphones in Audlem in recent days, there's more happening today with both BBC Radio 4 and BBC1 TV visiting the village to discuss the Vote Poll question: 'Would you like Audlem to apply to be part of Wales?' So, if you see a few Welsh flags flying, you will understand why!

The Vote Poll is attracting large numbers of votes – including, we suspect, a good number from outside the village – but it was always meant as a light-hearted poll so democracy, we trust, has not been thrown into disarray. Last night, almost 800 votes had been cast with 68% voting 'Yes'.

Audlem Online has been pretty busy too with over 10,000 visitors so far in April, over 30% up on a normal month.
