Last night, as expected, The King's Speech won a host of BAFTA awards. Of even greater import, it is coming to Audlem on 2nd April as the next film in the Public Hall's cinema programme.

The King's Speech has already been the highest earning film for three weekends in a row at the UK box office, and has earned over £100 million in cinemas to date. The film has been widely praised by film critics for its visual style, art direction and acting.

Colin Firth has enjoyed success as Best Actor at both the Golden Globes in Hollywood and at last night's BAFTA awards for his portrayal of the stuttering King George VI.

The film will be shown at 7.30pm on 2nd April and tickets will be on sale shortly.
