AWEG Meeting Tuesday !6th January

The first AWEG meeting of 2024 will be held in the Methodist Church Hall on Tuesday 16th January.

Keith Offord will give a talk titled Raptorphillia. Keith has worked with the Hen Harrier population of Wales for many years and has lead bird watching trips across the world.

Birds of prey (raptors) are one of the most fascinating groups, appealing to a wide range of people. They are incredibly varied, ranging from the diminutive Pygmy Falcon to giants such as the Martial Eagle. They are also dramatic, unpredictable and exciting and have evolved an astonishing range of specialised features designed to help them survive.

Our meeting starts at 19.00 all welcome, a charge of £5 will be made to cover costs.
