The ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) weekend in North Wales proved a huge success with perfect Spring weather a bonus for the twenty two participants.

The group stayed in Llandudno, a town that's been seriously spruced up in recent years. Saturday saw the main group walking the hills between Conwy and Llanfairfechan, a distance of around eleven miles, before returning to Conwy by train. With unbroken blue sky for the whole day, fine views and a friendly pub at Llanfairfechan to finish in, the day could hardly have been better. A smaller, but fitter group, headed inland for a more strenuous day's circuit.

Sunday saw people doing their own thing, but over half hiked around and then over the Great Orme, again in glorious weather.

Details of the ARS walks are published on Audlem Online each month. They usually involve a 9.00am Saturday departure from Audlem car park and take in walks in Shropshire, the Peak District, North Wales and more locally.
