The Audlem Group supporting St Luke's Hospice received a welcome boost this week in the form of a £1,000 donation from local family business, the Morris company. Sue Humphries, Chief Executive of Morris Care, a division of the Morris company, met representatives from St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice Audlem Support Group at Corbrook Court, to present the cheque.

St Luke's Hospice cares for people with life threatening illnesses and is also a place where people can learn to live life afresh, finding new approaches to managing the situations in which they find themselves.

Peter Morgan, Chairman of the Audlem Support Group commented: "St Luke's Hospice is not just a place where people go to see out their final days. Many return home again and St Luke's continues to support them and their families in the management of their illness."

"We are delighted to support this charity which provides such a worthwhile service to the local community," said Sue Humphries. She added, "Audlem Support Group is to be commended for its dedication in helping to raise funds for St Luke's Hospice. We shall continue to help the Audlem Support Group and we are pleased to welcome them to Corbrook Court."

Corbrook Court, run by Morris Care, is currently undergoing a development programme which will see the restoration of its listed buildings and the creation of elegant new extra care apartments and landscaping of beautiful new gardens.
