The following letter has been sent to parents of pupils at Audlem St James School by the Governing Body:
Dear Parents,
We are writing to you to inform you about the position with regard to Mrs Nolan Burnitt following the completion of the processes that have been ongoing over the last few months. We are aware that the situation has caused substantial concern for parents and others. A rigourous and lengthy process has been followed by the Governing Body, taking advice at each stage of the process from the Local Authority. The process has now been completed and the matter dealt with.

Mrs Nolan Burnitt will return to school as Headteacher on a date yet to be confirmed, but likely to be shortly before or just after the Whit break.

We are sure you will understand that it is not appropriate to share further specific information about the matter. We recognise that this has been a particularly difficult period for everyone involved in the school but it is now time to move the school forward together.

The school continues to pursue the improvement agenda that is currently underway and will carry on receiving the full support of the Local Authority.

We look forward to reporting back to you the progress that has been made over the next few weeks.
Yours faithfully

The Governing Body
