Audlem resident James Holland is cycling from Venice to Milan this week to help the fight against Cystic Fibrosis.

James, who is Managing Director with The Co-operative Electrical – The Co-operative Group's online retailer for electrical goods – will be cycling the 240-mile route with colleague Neil Baison.

James and Neil have been inspired by fellow Co-operator Keith Rudman. Keith has worked for the Co-op for over 30 years and is still working full time now as the Store Manager of Beales Department Store in Rochdale – formally a Co-op Store.

Keith has not only managed his own Cystic Fibrosis; he has also been a key fundraiser, raising over £10,000 for the Specialist Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester.

The charity ride has been organised by one of The Co-operative Electrical's suppliers, Smeg, who will also be raising money for their chosen charity, Action Medical Research for Children.

The team are aiming to complete the route in just four days, starting today, 24th June: you can support James and Neil via:
