Audlem Ramblers Saturday's Walk

When this walk around Ellesmere was "tested" last week by Peter Jackson + team, there were severe problems (not surpisingly!) along a mud-bath towpath and a 1 metre (3 ft) deep water blockage!

Our optimistic leader predicted that the water would subside – and it had! And he had devised a route change to avoid the mud.

There were 17 ramblers enjoying this 8 mile walk – including 2 new recruits as well as (good to see back!) 2 persons recovering from broken bones – nothing to with rambling!

A respectable 8 miles, standard operating procedure demanded a visit to the Shroppie Fly which had arranged a rather pleasant musical reception.

A grand day out!
