Audlem, and its campaign to renovate and save its public toilets, was on national TV last night.

If you missed it, you can catch up with the feature on the BBC iPlayer – then click on to BBC1, then The One Show and the Audlem section starts about three minutes into the show.

Lucy Siegle is seen on screen in Shropshire Street and then in the Bridge Inn, there's an interview with four Audlem Parish councillors and a good number of local scenes including the Square, the award plaques, Stafford Street and Vicarage Lane.

Audlem is contrasted with Manchester where all but one of its toilets is being closed.

As we commented on Audlem Online a couple of weeks ago, if Audlem saves its toilets, which is now looking increasingly likely, we will share with Manchester the distinction of both having a Salford as a near neighbour – and having one public toilet each!
