As most local residents will have seen, Audlem Parish Council has distributed another 'Audlem Needs You' circular relating to the proposed Mill Lane development. It says:

In response to the Extraordinary Parish Council meeting and after reading all the outline planning application documentation, Audlem Parish Council is objecting to the proposed 36 dwellings on the Heathfield Road/Mill Lane site.

Some of our main concerns are:

  • It is outside the village settlement boundary
  • Access and highway safety issues including traffic generation
  • Flood risk
  • The inadequate infrastructure (eg sewerage and medical facilities)

We need people in the village to get involved in this discussion too, and you can make your voice heard by commenting online or by writing to:
Cheshire East's Planning & Development Department in Crewe. Write to:

Case Officer

PO Box 606

Quote planning application no: 13/3210N and the Hockenhull Properties site address which is: Land east of 22 Heathfield Road, Audlem, Cheshire CW3 0HE.

Provide your full name and address and state whether you are a member of the public, councillor, neighbour, relative, etc.

State your views on the proposed development. Be clear, concise and accurate in your comments.

Please note, material planning considerations could include: incompatibility with the Village Design Statement; highways and traffic issues; adverse impact on nature conservation and biodiversity opportunities; capacity of drainage and sewerage systems. But don't refer to loss of view or reduction in property values.

Alternatively, you can post your comments online by clicking 13/3210N. which will take you to the Cheshire East planning page dealing with this application. Look for the 'Comment on this application' box towards the bottom right and click on that.

All comments, written or electronic, must arrive before Wednesday 4 September 2013.
