Audlem Music & Arts Festival

The now very popular Music & Arts Festival takes place over May 26th to May 30th 2011.

Planning for this huge weekend is well under way with performers being contracted to present a truly wide kaleidoscope of music for all tastes, plus Art Exhibitions embracing some of the talents of the area.

As part of this planning, last night I attended the Exhibition of Photography by the Whitchurch Photographic Society. A stunning display of superb work by the members of that society and I am delighted to say that the Society will be a feature of the Arts Festival weekend.

Many residents of Audlem are members and their work is truly great. The exhibition was held in The Market Drayton Community Centre and if any have not yet been inside there to see the magnificent place it is – they have Lesley Garrett performing live there in Spring, with a huge list of folks hoping for returned tickets! – I do recommend a visit.
