Audlem Lass ends successful season

What a great way to end a fantastic first season for the Audlem Lass. Yet another sunny day!

The total figures are as follows:-

• Passengers carried total: 4,114


• Total trips between Overwater Marina and lock 15 at Audlem: 1399


• And the donations totalled: A brilliant £4,078.82

On behalf of Rodney Cottrell and the crew we would like to thank all of our customers! 

On arrival at Overwater Marina with passengers on the 4.15 pm sailing from lock 15 the Audlem Lass was greeted by all the boat crew plus wives and also Janet and Angus Maughan.

A toast was made to the success of “The first great season of the little boat” We would like to thank John E for supplying the “Fizzy stuff”. 

The Audlem Lass will be taken out of the water over the next few days for a well earned rest plus a wash and brush up (nautical term) also we may even buy the engine a new “Spark plug”.

Again we would like to thank all our customers and the  village for their support during this first great season. And we look forward to the next season.

Also we ask that every one keeps their eye on the canal...who knows what the Audlem Lass may get up to “before next season”.
