Celia Bloor reports: "Audlem District History Society hosted the quarterly meeting of the Cheshire
Local History Association at the Scout & Guide Hall yesterday morning. After the business of the meeting, Dinah Andrew introduced some of the main buildings of the village with slides shown by John Hibberd. She spoke of some of the people and historical events associated with them. This was both interesting and amusing."
"The party then went to look round the church and to speculate on the various stages of the building, admire the stained glass windows by Kempe and the other interesting items. This was much appreciated and thanks
were expressed to all involved, including those members of the committee who
served refreshments."
