Earlier this year, Audlem Guides chose Nantwich Food Bank as one of the organisations we'd like to support.
The Food Bank covers Audlem and District, so it's a charity that benefits our local community, providing emergency food to people in crisis. Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food can make a huge difference.
Every Christmas, Nantwich Food Bank likes to send out extra special Food Parcels, so they've asked for our help in collecting donations of suggested items during November for the 24 days on their 'Reverse Advent Calendar'.
We're asking all our local community to help us achieve this challenge, so
The Calendar will be a guide to the items they need to make up their Christmas Food Parcels – but whatever you can give will be gratefully received. So you can choose whether to play along with the Calendar or just make your own donation.
Tell your friends, family and colleagues about what we're doing – they can join in too! and we'll hopefully gather quite a delivery together to take from Audlem to the Food Bank Collection Point in Nantwich at the end of November, ready to make someone's Christmas that little bit more special.
Any Girls aged 10-14 years who would like to join in the fun at Audlem Guides are very welcome to have a 'taster session' at one of our meetings. Just email us on audlem.guides@btinternet.com. Weekly Meetings are currently taking place via Zoom.
AudlemOnline is powered by our active community.
