A selection of suburb drawings of the centre of Audlem are now on offer at Williams' newsagents.

Our photos show the large colour version and a detail from it but they really have to seen in actual size to be fully appreciated.

The magnificent drawings are by Ronnie Cruwys and you can check out her website at www.drawingthestreet.co.uk or by clicking here.

The original drawing of Stafford Street – The Square – Shropshire Street is 2 metres long and 50cm wide, drawn entirely freehand, in technical pen on 300gsm hot pressed watercolour paper with a sumo ink wash.

Colour has been applied in traditional egg tempera which Ronnie mixes using natural earth pigments and semi-precious stones (lapis lazuli) as these capture the colour and atmosphere of our older streets so well.

The drawing represents over 120 hours work and closely represents the street and people as she found them during the Audlem Festival of 2013.

These are a limited edition of 100 prints and are priced as follows:

  • Small (800 x 200) Colour £80
  • Medium (1200 x 300) Black & White £96
  • Medium (1200 x 300) Colour £125
  • Large (1500 x 400) Colour £169
  • 1800mm prints framed on canvas available by request
