There were only five incidents of crime reported in Audlem in August, according to latest police figures.

There were three reported cases of anti-social behaviour, one of criminal damage and another of violence, all within a one mile radius of Audlem village centre.

It compares with 16 reported instances of crime in July, eight in June and 12 in May this year.

The reported offence of violence, a category that includes common assault, grievous bodily harm and sexual offences, was reported in the Tollgate Drive area of Audlem

The case of criminal damage, which includes damages to buildings or vehicles, was reported in the Sycamore Close area.

Reports of anti-social behaviour were received from on or near Broadways, near Gemmul Close and on the outskirts of the village on Audlem Road.

There have been 20 reports of anti-social behaviour in Audlem between May and August this year, accounting for 47.6% of all crime. There were five cases of burglary and five of criminal damage or arson in the same period.

There were also five reported cases of violence, four of vehicle crime and one of theft. No further action was required in 17 cases, three are still under investigation and two offenders have made appearances in court.
