Claire Moores is an independent history researcher with a particular interest in the landscape and social history of Cheshire. In her illustrated talk she will look at how mankind has left its mark on the landscape. She uses evidence of exploitation for raw materials and industrial use, but also how transport systems, agriculture and patterns of worship and belief have all impacted on our constantly-evolving landscape.
All welcome. If you haven't previously attended our meetings, please come along as a visitor, without obligation. You'll find an informal, relaxed atmosphere and we hope you'll enjoy an interesting and informative evening.
Meetings take place in the Scout and Guide Hall in Cheshire Street and start at 7.30pm.
