Audlem Aid to Cancer Research Autumn Fair on Saturday

Audlem Aid to Cancer Research is holding its Autumn Fair on Saturday 14th October at the Methodist Church. This is an opportunity to browse and buy all sorts of items, bric a brac etc, all the time knowing it's for a very worthy cause.

Audlem Aid to Cancer Research raises money which is donated to Cancer Research UK. The Audlem team of volunteers have been able to donate over £16,000 in the past year and in the last 30 years more than £150,000 has been donated.

The Audlem Aid to Cancer Research team has alreday been nominated this year for a 'Your Champions' award by the Chronicle Group of newspapers in conjunction with Scottish Power. The awards are designed to allow Chronicle readers find the real stars of South Cheshire. When nominated for the award, chairman Ann Bowles said: "Audlem Aid to Cancer Research has been in existence for some 30 years and it is amazing how the fund raising total keeps going up every year. It is really thanks to the support of our 28 volunteers who man the shop on a rota basis, a core group of committee members and the wonderful backing we get from the village."

All the organisations nominated for 'Your Champions' Chronicle awards will be honoured at a glittering ceremony at the Chester Grosvenor Hotel on 16th November.
