New! Resources from ACER for Earth Day 2021

The ACER website is marking Earth Day today, Thursday, April 22nd by launching its Resources tab which has links to all sorts of information to help us in our efforts to reduce our environmental footprints and make a better future for our children.

The links include websites packed with practical tips for cutting emissions and waste in the home and when travelling and shopping, and websites with information about why reducing emissions and restoring nature is critical and increasingly urgent. Also, about who is supposed to be doing what at global, national and local levels.

And if you think you're doing your bit, but governments and businesses should do more, there are campaigns to which you might want to add your voice. Mark this year's Earth Day by sitting down with a coffee and browsing the ACER Resources tab here. If there are resources that you have found useful but are not listed, let the ACER team know at acer@audlem.org or use the ACER chatbox.

April 22nd is designated by the United Nations as International Mother Earth Day. In this critical year in the struggle to control global heating, the President of the UN General Assembly reminds us about the 2030 Agenda which calls on us to "ensure that people everywhere have the relevant information and awareness for sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with nature". ACER's Resources list is a contribution to this for our community.

ACER is the Audlem Carbon Emissions Reduction project, a partnership between Audlem WI, 1st Audlem Guides, Audlem Cubs, AWEG (Audlem Wildlife & Ecology Group), ADAPT (Audlem & District Acting Positively for Transition) and Audlem Parish Council. Contact: acer@audlem.org
